RAUB, PAHANG: The small Sikh Sangat at Raub, located about 100 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur, had joined many Sikhs communities in Malaysia and around the world last weekend to commemorate the 550th birth of Guru Nanak.
They had organised an akhand path, a continuous reading of the Guru Granth Sahib which usually runs over three days, at Gurdwara Sahib Raub from Nov 10-12, 2019.
“We are a small community and always are hoping for foreign Jathas to come and do kirtan katha at the gurdwara,” Rabinder Singh, a retired Malaysian armed forces veteran, told Asia Samachar.
Gurdwara Sahib Raub management committee is led by Avtar Singh and Sister Amarjit Kaur. Other key officials are secretary Sharanjit Kaur and treasurer Amarjit Kaur.
