PETALING JAYA: A sergeant major, attached with the Selangor police headquarters’ Special Branch division, was killed in a four-vehicle crash at KM18.1 of the north-bound New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) near Kota Damansara this morning.
The victim, Suvinder Singh Indur Singh, 52, who was travelling in a Toyota Camry, died on the spot in the 6.40am incident.
Two cars and two sports utility vehicles were involved in the accident.

Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Superintendent Kamaludin Mohamad said initial investigation revealed that Suvinder’s car had collided with another car before crashing into a Land Rover SUV.
“The Camry and the other car veered into the middle lane after the collision. The impact of the crash caused the Land Rover to overturn after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
“The driver of the Toyota Fortuner, who was attempting to avoid crashing, lost control of his SUV and skidded into the emergency lane,” he said.
Kamaludin said Suvinder’s body has been taken to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem.
He said investigation into the case is still ongoing.
